Symbiosis
Berkshire Botanical Gardens

Stockbridge, Massachusetts
June 10 – October 28, 2022

Curated by Beth Rudin DeWoody

Symbiosis explored the interconnectivity of all living things, celebrating relationships of mutual benefit across more than 100 works by contemporary artists. Featuring both indoor and outdoor sculpture, the exhibition unfolded across the lush grounds and galleries of the Berkshire Botanical Garden.

Our work was featured in the Leonhardt Galleries alongside pieces by Jose Alvarez (D.O.P.A.), Ann Craven, Walton Ford, Kathy Ruttenberg, E.V. Day, Paul Villinski, Rob Wynne, and more. As artists whose practice is deeply rooted in memory, craft, and connection, we were honored to contribute to a show so beautifully aligned with our values.

Symbiosis invited viewers into a conversation about life and interdependence—from microscopic organisms to expansive ecosystems—and reflected a shared reverence for the living world. The exhibition was produced by Laura Dvorkin, co-curator of The Bunker Artspace and the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection.

DeWoody brought together an inspiring mix of world-renowned and emerging artists whose practices engage with nature, growth, and transformation. The show, offering a comprehensive  exploration of the natural world and our place within it, includes work by Kiki Smith, Thaddeus Mosley, Michele Oka Doner, Erwi Wurm, and others.
