For our contribution, we reflected on the ways progress intertwines with memory, family, and craft. Our work often centers on the obsessive and the hand-touched, and we were honored to be part of an exhibition that celebrated curiosity, experimentation, and the idea that progress is as much emotional and personal as it is technical.

We were invited to participate alongside an extraordinary group of designers, thinkers, and artists whose works spanned disciplines and time periods. Progressland showcased new commissions, rare artifacts, contemporary design pieces, and objects that symbolized pivotal moments in humanity’s pursuit of knowledge and beauty.

Progressland was more than an exhibition—it was a call to look inward and outward at once, to understand our histories while imagining new futures.

The title referenced General Electric’s visionary pavilion for the 1964 World’s Fair, itself a celebration of futuristic optimism. In that spirit, Zuckerman’s Progressland looked toward the unknown, elevating the ingenuity that propels civilization forward.

Collection #2: Progressland, curated by Andrew Zuckerman, was the final chapter in Zuckerman’s yearlong curatorial program at Chamber, examining the interplay between nature and innovation. The show explored the human spirit of invention—from objects born out of necessity to those inspired by pure imagination.
